What is your offspec? Can you play it? How good is your offspec gear?
Brewmaster is my main offspec. I can play it resonably well. I have no issues tanking Heroic NH and usually tank most M+ runs I do. Have no issues raid/dungeon tanking on it and can comfortably do so but I don't enjoy it all that much so I tend to try and avoid it.
Gear wise, it's pretty average. Sit at about 901 in Brewmaster with a 915 weapon but I lack decent legendaries (mainly the chest) which makes it far worse to play. I'm at a point where I can aim for Brewmaster legendaries though so I may very well do so in the near future.
If I were to play tank I'd prefer to play my paladin as I feel that the tanking is far more rewarding and the skill ceiling is extremely fun. I also see Paladin as the best tank if played at the highest level.
Are you happy to respec and play to other specs if needed?
/Played time on your character:
80 days, 6 hours overall. 42 days, 19 hours at max. Fairly fresh character as I used to play Horde primarily and this was an Alliance alt.
Do you have a Legendary? If so, which one(s)?
Boots, Hands, Helm (Brew), Prydaz, Bracers, Chest. In order of when I got them.
Where are you located?
Why do you wish to join Vitare?
I wish to join a guild that suits my times and also has a good raid environment. As far as I can see from the outside, Vitare seems to suit that the best.
For me personally, I find the community and the raid environment more important than the actual content itself and therefore, I want to be able to play with people who share a similar thought process. From what I can see, the members of this guild appear to be quite social and even whilst you're progressing and doing the current content, there is still fun to be had and jokes to be made which is exactly the kind of guild I want to be apart of.
I strive for higher progression with people who share similar motives and thus, I believe Vitare suits that motive the best.
Describe your internet connection and computer (inc net speed & download limit):
12ms, 90down/40up. PC is i5 6600, 1060 4GB, 16GB ram. I don't know a great deal about computers but it gets the job done.
Can you afford game-time each month with no hassle? (Serious question)
Can you make all our raid nights? Currently we raid Wed/Thurs/Sun 8:00pm-11:00pm Server Time. (If not, please explain):
I should not have an issue with any of these raid nights on a regular basis.
The only thing I can say that might impact it is when there are local events on in my town and I'm forced to work extended hours that cut into those raids times. These events are very infrequent however and will only result in 1 or 2 lost days a year.
Other things that I can see impacting it are things like State of Origin that may impact the Wednesday raids in future as my work is quite busy around that time. Other than that, no personal commitments are currently stopping me from attending raids.
During raid, is it likely that you may need to go afk for dinner for any reason? (Please note: we sometimes have a 5 min break around 9:30pm ST)
I can eat and play so I don't foresee any reason this would occur.
If unable to attend a raid night, are you aware that we expect our raiders to communicate this to us via a forum thread (or post in the shoutbox if you are coming late)?
I am aware and can and will do so.
Previous Guilds/Current Guild (Include reason for leaving/desire to leave):
I'll only specify my current guild as I see it is the only relevant guild to talk about.
Pixel - Frostmourne
I've been with these guys since mid HFC and they are honestly super blokes and I love raiding with each and every one of them but just due to recent events, there may be a cease of Mythic progression and even though I'd love to stick around with them, I still want to push for that harder content. They've been a great group of friends to me and I don't play to ever leave them indefinitely but for the time being, I'd like to continue Mythic raiding whilst they are no longer intent on doing so.
How long were/have you been in this guild?
Almost a year now.
What was your guild rank?
What previous raiding experience do you have?
3/10 M Nighthold
3/3 H ToV
3/7 M Emerald Nightmare (7/7 after the release of ToV/NH)
13/13 M HFC
8/10 M BRF (As Balance)
3/7 M HM (As Feral)
Can you move out of fire/void zones on the ground in less than 2 sec?
I can but sometimes I won't because soaking that juicy Karma is too irresistible. This is legitimately a gameplay mechanic for monks. pls don't decline me =<
Please provide Warcraftlogs link of a current raid boss:
I take Mythic raiding seriously but I love to be the clown and mess around during farm. I like to throw around jokes mid fights and get the whole raid group in hysterics. I know when to shut up and get shit done and I know when my input isn't needed but when everything is relaxed and we're just steadily progressing, I love to throw out a few witty jokes here and there to lighten the mood.
I actually have no idea if this was how I was supposed to answer this question but that's what you're getting! :P
What kind of Pokemon are you? How do you do the things you do?
Snorlax. I laze around 99% of the time but when I'm awake, you best know I'm gonna be going hard.
Are you okay for gold? Can you afford raid consumables?
Yes - I come raid ready
Guild sponsors (if any):
Do you have Discord installed, a working microphone and a set of headphones?
What sets you apart from other members of your class?
I've been playing Monk since release, I don't think this makes me an outright genius on the class and in no way do I think I'm some superior theorycrafting god but I do know the impact of changes on the class and I can often adjust to Blizzard's attempts at changing the class dynamic. I often look at exactly what they try to do with what role a Monk should fill in a raid composition and do my best to emulate that design process in my play.
In the current iteration of Windwalker. The best way to describe their play is that they can essentially be put in any composition and they will find their place. You can have them as a steady source of damage that stays very constant (such as during Chronomatic where we can sit a very high value for an extended period of time due to the frequency of add spawns and the short recharge of SEF) or you can utilise them as a mechanic killer for a certain burst phase (such as Spellblade adds or Tichondrius bats).
Other than that, I don't think anything else sets me apart other than that I'm constantly trying to adapt my play to squeezing out every single bit of potential from my class on any given fight. Whether that be any entirely new talent build/trinket set up to delaying a cooldown for half a second so that it overlaps with something else.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I'll just tell a little bit about myself as I don't want to leave this blank.
As I said before, my name is Lachlan. I'm 19 and live in Central NSW.
I currently work as an Assistant Manager at a local Domino's which I both love and hate. It's been a huge factor in my life to date and I thank both the business and my boss wholesomely for the oppourtunity they've given me.
When I'm not doing that (which is quite rare), I'm usually on WoW as most of us are or I'm just chilling with some mates. I'm a real easy going guy so it doesn't take a lot to get to know me and to get along. I'm pretty much up for any chat and as long as people aren't needlessly inconsiderate, I can be friends with them.
Thanks for taking the time to read! Hope I hear from you all soon.
P.S. My discord # is memegod#1486 if you'd rather contact me via that rather than Btag.
