Loot Policy & DKP:

Vitare runs an open bid DKP system. DKP is an acronym for Dragon Kill Points. When you participate in 25 man raids with the guild you will accrue points and use those points to get gear.

It is the responsibility of every raider and member to ensure they are aware of their dkp before they attempt to bid on an item.

Loot priority:

Raiders get first priority on all items.
If no raider wishes to bid, loot is opened up to members, raider trials and dual spec bidding.
If no one wishes to bid then the item with be disenchanted and the mats placed in the guild bank.

Classes will also get first preference on their unique armour type (eg mail spellpower bracers would go to a shaman over a paladin).

Earning DKP

Boss Downing = 30 DKP
Heroic Boss Downing = 60 DKP
On Time DKP = 25 DKP

Bonus DKP

DKP will also be rewarded to encourage players for wipes and hard progression nights. These amounts are subject to officer discretion.

Losing DKP

DKP will be deducted from any player that rage quits in the middle of a raid
DKP will be deducted for repeated silly mistakes that cause the raid to wipe

Item Costs

Items are won via an open bidding system. The start costs for items are:

Normal Mode:

Armour/Rings/Trinkets = 40 DKP
Tier Tokens = 60 DKP
Weapon/OH/Ranged = 80 DKP

Heroic Mode:

Armour/Rings/Trinkets = 80 DKP
Tier Tokens = 120 DKP
Weapon/OH/Ranged = 160 DKP

The minimum bid value for items shall be the same for every class in each slot. Eg, every weapon shall be given the same base value, every ranged weapon shall be the same base value. Note also that every offhand item will now have the same base value as a mainhand weapon.

Working Example of the Open Bidding System

Helm of the Elder Moon drops off a boss.

The Loot Master will say:

Helm of the Elder Moon min bid starting at 400dkp

If this is an item you would like you simply need to bid on this item via raid chat. If there were 3 people that all wanted this item bidding would look like this:

Loot Master:Helm of the Elder Moon min bid starting at 400dkp
Bidder A: 400
Bidder B: 500
Bidder C: 800
Bidder A: 1000
Bidder B: pass
Bidder C: pass
Loot Master: a 5 second countdown will begin once it appears that bidding has been completed. This countdown is final, and the item will be awarded to the highest bid.
In this example Bidder A wins Helm of the Elder Moon for 1000dkp

Waiting List DKP

While no raider or trial wants to be benched, ultimately a guild should have more than 25 raiders so that there is never a shortage when people are away. If you are a raider or a raider trial and you miss out on an invite to raid, you may be entitled to receiving wait list DKP.

To be eligible for full wait list DKP you are required to be online either on your main or an alt (provided it is known to the guild and officers) and you MUST be on Vent.

If you do this for the raid period you will still receive full DKP to the raid night.

Waitlist is only for players who are available to raid.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING DKP

Raiders who are demoted will have their dkp wiped.

Casuals cannot be awarded DKP.

To avoid having your DKP deleted because you are going away on an extended holiday or moving house you MUST notify the officers via the forums when you will be away from and when you will be returning. If you do not return by the date you have said you will have your DKP removed.
